HM4 critical update
Hi everyone,
I've just put out an extremely important updated version of HM4.
First the annoying flashing line is gone. The technical explanation of what caused it is I refactored my atlas creation code and accidentally introduced a bug. The fix was to add a small offset to the generated s,t texture coordinate values to make sure the texture stays within the right area.
The other important change is a huge performance improvement. The display of the blocks is now buffered, providing close to a hundred times performance improvement. The game runs silky smooth in levels now, and there is enough performance left to do much much more with the levels.
I also noticed a crazy bug. All damage is true damage: armor and magic resist don't actually do anything. Fixing this is easy, but I don't have the time to rebalance the game right now. That will have to be done at a later time.
That is all for now. Expect some small upgrades out in the future.
